Can I run this system using a 12 volt battery.

  • Dear Barrie, The booster usually works with a 220v adapter, but it can work also with a 12v power. You need to inform us that you need a 12v adapter and we will replace the existing one before shipping the item. Thank you for your question. Regards, Hellen

Does the external LPDA Antenna unit have to be mounted directly in line of sight with the cell tower. The site I am looking at is obstructed by trees

      • Dear Peter, Thank you for your question. It is highly recommended to place the external antenna on your roof and face it to the cell tower. If you have a lot of trees, they might affect the signal reception, so you can try to check with your phone to which other direction to you get maximum of possible bars on your phone and turn the antenna to that direction. If you need any other information, please feel free to contact us by info@mobilesignalboosters.co.uk. Best regards, Hellen

Hi, With this booster, is it improving both the signal strength and the bandwidth which should increase download speeds too? I’m sorry if this is a silly question but I’m trying to use my phone as a hotspot so I can work from home as our WiFi isn’t great. Thanks

        • Dear Manik, Thank you for your interest. Yes, by value, signal strength could get higher up to 70db to.80db. The bandwidth of data rate can reach the maximum of which network it supports. For more information, you can contact us by info@mobilesignalboosters.co.uk. Regards, Hellen

we work on a remote campsite in Nigeria, and whilst we receive a fairly good 4G LTE signal most of the time, it does have a tendency to drop-out, particularly in our accommodation rooms. Our rooms are converted shipping containers, so basically we’re living in steel boxes. Not exactly the best thing for signal reception. Could you please advise the best setup for multiple users (there are about 4 of us in separate adjoining containers). The 4G LTE provider here is GLO, and they operate on the 700 MHz frequency. Thanks for your assistance.

          • Thank you for your question. Yes, it will work for you. You can choose the following solution which works at 700mhz : https://www.signalboostersaustralia.com/product/mobile-booster-single-band-telstra-and-optus-4g-600-sqm/?boost=11

                1. How do you connect a mobile to this repeater? (via login or WiFi connection?) 2. Can I restrict who utilities this repeater (eg. login/password) 3. Can I still use Home WiFi for broadband?

                • Hi Terry, Here are the answers to your questions: 1. How do you connect a mobile to this repeater? (via login or WiFi connection?) There is no special way of connecting the mobile phone to a repeater. Once you do the whole installation you start getting a great signal inside your house and your phone benefits from it. 2. Can I restrict who utilities this repeater (eg. login/password) No. There is no way to put restriction. 3. Can I still use Home WiFi for broadband? Yes, but make sure your wifi unit and the repeater are not close to each other in order to avoid signal interference. Let us know if you get any more questions. Regards, Karen Williams
